PRAYER LETTER FOR JUNE, 2004

Wednesday, July 14, 2004
Dear Pastors and Churches:
I greet you from Kentucky at the time of this writing and pray that God is blessing you all in every area of your lives for Him!
   Bocsa Meeting:
I am told that attendance remains constant on Lord’s Days and Wednesdays in Bocsa and that Brother Raul is bringing good messages.  Continue to pray for him and for the meetings there, please.
   Oltenia Preaching Point:
Except for one Lord’s Day (due to illness) Brother Raul and Brother Aurel have been able to travel regularly to Oltenia for Sunday evening services there.  I understand that the faithful ones have continued faithful in attendance.  I am looking forward to baptizing some there when I return to Romania.
   Literature Work:
There has been continued interest in our literature as expressed by some requesting our materials repeatedly as well as some making requests for the first time.  This literature ministry has put us in contact with two churches (?) which we understand want to go independent.  I am anxious to return to Romania to meet with these folk and assist them as I am able, as they may need Scriptural baptism and organization.
   Republic of Moldova:
A request that I come to preach has been received from some in that country.  We already have an invitation from at least one unaffiliated Baptist church there to bring our literature and preach there.  Please pray about this matter.  It will involve being away from Bocsa for at least a week.
   Churches Visited:
Since my last writing, I have preached to the following Churches in the U.S.: Faith Baptist Church (Elder Richard Turner), Kirksville, MO: Pleasant Plains Baptist Church (Elder Timothy Hille), Pleasant Plains, IL: Berea Baptist Church (Elder Lyle Thomas), Stonington, IL: Baptist Church of Brimfield (Elder Fred Gebbink), Brimfield, IL: Salem Missionary Baptist Church (Elder Billy Holbrook), Willow Hill, IL: West Milton Baptist Church (Conference) (Elder Mark Clark), West Milton, OH: Grace Missionary Baptist Church (Elder Bob Hopkins), Holly, MI: Home Baptist Church (Elder Dan Gordon), Mt. Morris, MI: Grace Baptist Church (Elder Randy Graber), Fairborn, OH: New Testament Baptist Church (Elder Joe Gadd), Norwood, OH: Faith Baptist Church (Elder Ansil Campbell), Covington, KY: Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church (Elder Tom Ross), Chesapeake, OH: and the Midland Missionary Baptist Church (Elder Harry Balmer), Franklin, Furnace, OH.  It seems that God has helped in the preaching, though I have no knowledge of anyone coming to saving faith in these meetings, and the Churches have certainly treated me as royalty!  My heartfelt thanks and appreciation to these and all the Churches I have been privileged to preach to thus far this year!
   Plans:
I still intend on flying out of the States as near to the 15th of August as is possible – all according to the will of God, of course.  I must pack some books for the English Language Bible Institute in Romania and ship them while in Mantachie, Mississippi.  Also I must rent a truck and move the few things we have stored there to Denham Springs, LA.  Please pray also regarding these endeavors!
I see I am out of space!  Please accept our appreciation for your faithful financial support and prayers on our behalf and on behalf of the work in eastern Europe.  I urge you to continue in earnest prayer for us and for the work there!
In the cause of God and truth,
