Dear Churches and Friends,
Greetings to you in the name that is above every name, the Lord Jesus Christ. For it is by grace that we are saved through faith and that not of ourselves it is a gift of God. Ephesians 2:8 For this we praise the Lord for his unspeakable gift.
This report is late in getting out to you because I went with the McAdam family to Edmonton for Christina's surgery on June 26th.
As you know she has scoliosis of the spine, the operation began on Thursday June 26th. at 8:00 a.m. completed at 3:00 p.m. The Doctor inserted steel rods in her lower spine to support the bone. Upon discharge from the hospital he ordered a brace for her to wear a good portion of the time for the next 6-8 weeks, and how much longer we don't know. She was in the hospital for 7 days then we had to stay in Edmonton an extra week to ensure she was healed enough to make the trip home. We arrived home the 13th. of July, Praise be the Lord, most mighty, full of mercy and truth and His powerful healing touch, He took care of everything, The Lord has been so wonderful, Praise ye the Lord.
On a sadder note on June 9th. ,Peter Smith, 36 years old, died suddenly in a diving accident. Peter attended the Mission for a number of years. He leaves a wife and two small children. Sister Grace, spent two days with his wife Clarissa after the accident and was a tremendous help. She experienced the same thing in the loss of her husband over a year and a half ago, so she was able to be compassionate and to be a comfort and encouragement to Clarissa. The memorial service was the following Saturday of which I officiated, it was held in the recreation center because it was the largest facility in town. The service was a great blessing; the Lord delivered a powerful message on Salvation and our appointment to leave this life. The recreation complex was to full capacity to standing room only. I pray that the Lord will use his word on hearts and lives in this community. Now a lot of people that have never attended the Mission to hear God's Word are without excuse, Praise the Lord. I would ask that you all keep Clarissa and her children in prayer, it will be difficult road ahead of her, so please pray that she will grow stronger and more dependent upon the Lord and his Word.
Early this spring we experienced a bad rain storm in which the Mission floor got flooded, consequently we had to pull up the rug that covered the floor. In doing so, we decided to peel the entire tile off the floor which was under the rug. This has been a long process and is still not complete to date. We will probably end up painting the floor so should this happen again; it won't be such a mess to clean up. The Lord has been very gracious in giving us the time and strength to be able to work on the floor.
On May 26th I left for Creighton, Sask to hold services on May 30th. - June 1st. with the Brooks family and Paul Rainville. The Lord blessed tremendously in the messages which were at 11:00 a.m., 3:00 p.m., and 6:00 p.m. The Word was a great encouragement to these few who have been without fellowship and teaching except through the tape ministry. The people were delighted that we take the time to travel that far just for them, also they are a great blessing to me. I am very grateful to the Lord for the privilege of ministering to them.
Lillian is planning to return on July 31st. and it will be nice to have her home again. Since her absence the ladies of the Mission planted flowers around the Mission, which look very beautiful, but you can't eat them like you can vegetables in the garden, but then the vegetables don't look that pretty either.
The services and Bible Studies are going great. I only wish there was more in this little town that were interested in the Word of God. But, we are experiencing what the Lord has told us concerning the last day. It is our responsibility to remain faithful to Him even when we don't see any growth in the Mission.
We are so appreciative of your continued prayers and support in so many ways for the Lord's work here. You are an encouragement to me and the members here. I pray that God by His Grace is causing you to prosper and abound in the place where he has called you to be.
Our love by His Grace in Christ Jesus,
    Wayne E. Mowris
