April - June, 2006
Dear Churches and Friends,
Greetings to each of you in the precious name of our Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ, I trust this letter is finding each of you well and happy serving in obedience to our precious Lord.
Lillian - Since being admitted to the Northern Lights Special Care Home; she has been receiving exceptional care. She is still plagued by pain in her upper legs and lower back. This past week, her medication has been changed, we are praying this will help her. It has been so hot here, up into the nineties, this hot spell has affected her breathing. The other day we received some rain and this seemed to make her feel better. On May 30th to June 1st Bob and Ruth Clark came to visit, this improved on how she was feeling. Lillian has a very comfortable room, and the staff at the Northern Lights is beyond exceptional, they have a tremendous amount of compassion for the residents there, as well, the meals are very good; we have much to praise the Lord for in His care for Lillian in all aspects. A few times we have eaten with Lillian and she has enjoyed having us break bread with her. We ask for your continued prayers for Lillian and that the Lord would undertake concerning all of her needs.
Because of the weakness of the U.S. dollar, it has made it more difficult with our expenses. The Canadian dollar, is almost equal to that of the American dollar. Before when the U.S. dollar was strong, we would get more Canadian dollars, so that helped us with our expenses.
We ordered three cord of wood, and with the help of mission members, along with a hard working neighbour the Lord blessed and we got it all split and piled in record time.
We planted the garden in mid May, that is the earliest we have ever been able to plant, with our early spring and nice weather, we were able to take care of that chore. What we need now is a little bit of ram.
At the end of June; I visited the Mission point in Creighton, Sask., we held services for four days. it was hard for Brother Paul, as he is not well, he has a great deal of difficulty with his breathing, and has to carry an oxygen tank with him at all times, so please pray for him. Paul brought his son, Brandon the services, please pray for the Lord to save this young man and for the Lord to lead and guide his young life.
The services and Bible studies have been going very well, we have had a few new people come to the services, and also to the Bible studies, of which we are very grateful to the Lord, for HIS encouragement.
In closing, thank you and praise to the Lord, for your continued prayers and concern for the work the Lord has here. May HIS blessings rest upon each one of you and yours, also HIS grace abound in your life, and that you each would have a renewed commitment in serving, being dedicated to, and trusting the Lord as HE ministers in your life.
    By His Grace,
    Wayne E. Mowris - Missionary
