Dear Churches and Friends,
Greetings to you all in the precious name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus
Christ, I trust that His Grace is abiding in you and that you are being
obedient to His most glorious Word, we are most privileged to have the
living Word of our Lord and Saviour.
To begin with, we have had the opportunity to have visitors from out of
town who have stayed a few days with us and have attended the services
and the Bible studies. Peter Wieller, being one of them from Fort Vermillion
in the northern part of Alberta. Also Lawrence Vermillion with his grandson
Jordon from Fort Chipeywan. We enjoyed their fellowship and Praise the
Lord for them stopping by.
Lillian still has many health problems, she gets the pain out of one area
of her body and it seems to attack another area, making it very uncomfortable
for her. Being as it is very difficult for her to walk, and she can not
do stairs, therefore she is confined to the house making it very difficult
for her, as she can not get out to see others. All she has is myself and
the mission members. Please continue to pray for her.
The weekly Bible studies are progressing very well with much interest and
the people are growing thereby, along with the weekly Wednesday night Bible
study and Prayer meeting at the mission.
We had to purchase a new printer for the computer at the mission, Praise
the Lord it has worked really well and we have had no problems with it.
The MeAdam family have emptied the ashes out of the furnace and hauled
in the wood from outside, making it easier for me to load the furnace,
besides shoveling the driveway and doing odd jobs around the house which
makes it easier on Lillian. I consider this a blessing from the Lord.
Along the same subject, the McAdam children have started attending their
home schooling lessons at the mission with myself as the supervisor. This
has proved to be very interesting and challenging because it has been a
day or two since I was in school. I enjoy this very much, seeing the government
schools are preparing the children for world citizenship and one world
government. Please keep Christina and Danielle in your prayers as they
have many paces to complete before the end of this school year.
The cost of mail, groceries, and gasoline has sky rocketed this winter,
making it necessary for me to go to Edmonton to purchase groceries. My
glasses fell apart, I am wearing an old pair so, therefore, I secured new
ones. When I left the roads had about six inches of snow on them, but after
I got to Hay River, it cleared off, then after the border the road was
bare and it was bare all the way down and all the way back. The Lord was
very good in taking care of everything pertaining to the journey. Praise
ye the Lord.
Snow - WOW! - The first part of the winter was very mild but after
that it really showered snow, continually. Consequently, we had to hire
a local man to plow the driveway down to the dirt, which makes it a lot
easier in the spring time when it begins to thaw. Fact is, we had
him come and plow a number of times. Although, the Lord blessed us with
a snow blower, we had trouble getting a belt for it, and consequently,
the snow got ahead of us.
Our dentist in Fort Smith has left for greener pastures, therefore, we
(some of the mission) have had to travel to Hay River to get dental work
done. Sister Grace McAdam, daughter Christina, on the advice of the dentist
had to have her wisdom teeth removed surgically. So we have had to make
a few trips.
This time of year is always such a joy, to satisfy our government by letting
them know all about us and the moneys we have received (nosey aren't they)
so I have been busy gathering all information together to send to the accountant.
I have to file up here, and also in the states.
Praying always, for you to be found faithful in serving at His appointed
place for you.
We are very thankful and appreciative of your prayers, letters, and cards
and the interest shown in what the Lord is accomplishing here. May His
Grace and Love abound in you.
By His Grace,
Wayne E. Mowris - Missionary
