January - March, 2007
Dear Churches and Friends,
Greetings, to each of you and yours in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, the name that is above every name. I pray this letter finds each of you abounding in the Word and work of our dear Lord, and may He find each and every one of you faithfully serving Him, to His honor and glory, AMEN.
Sister Lillian, has improved greatly in the last part of this quarter, thank you for praying for her, please continue to do so. The Doctor has once again adjusted her pain medication, and this time it seems to have taken hold of the chronic pain in her upper and lower limbs. Sister Lillian's attitude and spirit have improved as well, Praise the Lord for His goodness and mercy to her. I believe she has adjusted to her present location, until the Lord changes it.
Brother Lawrence Vermillion has been able to attend the services more often since the winter ice road has been in. We may not see him now as often, because as the sun gets higher, the ice road deteriorates and its not safe to travel on. It was so nice and such a blessing the times he could be with us, he played the guitar and sings, both in English and in Cree, which has been a real blessing to the services.
We were blessed last Sunday, with a visitor from the Pentecostal assembly, she seemed to be very attentive as she heard things I am sure she has never heard before. Perhaps God will save her, she even had a head covering on.
In January the McAdam family traveled to Ottawa for their grandfather's funeral, it was a good opportunity for them to see their Uncles and Aunts. They had an opportunity to be a testimony for the Lord in singing at the Grandfather's funeral, they were very blessed being able to do this for the Lord. When they got back to Edmonton, they were able to visit with Chris, the young man that was in the vehicle accident last October.
Please pray much for this young man, as he is seeking the Lord in his life, reading God's Word, but the devil is ever present to discourage him, in his present circumstances. Chris is in a wheelchair and does not have use of his lower limbs, and limited use of his upper limbs, as a result of the accident. He broke his neck, and unless the Lord heals him, he will remain this way the rest of his life. At this time, Chris is back in his home community of Inuvik, Northwest Territories; please pray the Lord will reveal Himself to Chris, and that the Lord will be ever merciful and longsuffering and that he will save Chris's soul; and if it is God's will, Chris will walk again. Also pray for Chris's mother Evelyn, she is a single mother, and is having a lot of difficulty locating proper housing to meet Chris's needs. Evelyn is also seeking the Lord in her life and she is reading her Bible each day, pray that the LORD will reveal His Son the Lord Jesus Christ to her and save her soul.
January hit us with our first real cold weather, and it didn't let up much until a few weeks ago. The snow didn't come down in inches, it came down in feet, we had more snow this winter, than we have had in the past two years. The town has been very busy hauling all the snow away, so as not to cause flooding. We have been experiencing warmer temperatures of late, but according to the forecast, we will have a very cool April, with a little more snow. Well, the snow is very good for the garden, so Praise the Lord, he is preparing a plentiful harvest already.
The McAdam sisters have completed their third quarter reporting period for the Lighthouse Christian Academy. They should be done with their school year approximately around the first part of May, Lord willing. I would request prayer for Christina McAdam, as she will be graduating this year, as to what the Lord would have her to do, and where the Lord would have her go to College or University. It is a great privilege to teach them and watch them grow in the knowledge of God's Word.
There has been a few deaths in the community and the Lord has used us at the Mission to be a testimony to the unsaved of this town. The Lord has also impressed us to help some of the poor folks of the community and the Lord has received the honor and glory from these unfortunate circumstances, Praise the Lord for the ability He has given us to serve Him, and although we gave quite a little bit of money, the Lord sees fit to abundantly provide for His own.
Thank you so much for the phone calls, letters, and cards, these have been a tremendous blessing and encouragement to Sister Lillian and to myself. She would love to write to each of you, but her fingers do not seem to want to co-operate so well. Still she wants each of you to know what a blessing it is to receive mail, and that she prays for each of you.
May the Lord's grace, peace and almighty blessings rest upon each of you; may the Lord hold each of you in the protective cleft of his gracious hand, and provide your each and every need. Thank you for your prayers, interest and concern for the Lord's work here.
    By His Grace,
