Dear Churches & Friends;
Greetings to you in the Name of our Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ. I pray
this finds you in good health both physically and spiritually. Praising
God, being grateful for the privilege of being his child and for His blessings
that He wondrously bestows.
There was a baptism September 29 in the afternoon at Pine Lake in Alberta,
just across the border. Tanya Nyberg and Danielle McAdam were baptized
by the authority of King's Addition Baptist Church. Now all the McAdam
family are members of King's Addition Baptist Church and the Mission here,
her mother Grace and sister Christina already were members.
We have had two frosts killing what little garden we had, its been a bad
year for gardens, too cold. It was July before we could get anything in.
Along with the cool weather plus too much rain the plants did not do well.
I left for Creighton, Sask. on August 6, and arrived there on the 8th.
We started services the morning of the 9th through the 11th. We held three
services each day at 11:00 AM. 3:00 PM and 7:00 PM. There were visitors
at the Sunday morning service and excellent fellowship.
Grace McAdam has been praying for years to come to the Mission. A few months
after her husband died she felt the need to really pray to this
end. In early spring she started packing with no job or home here. Toward
the end of May she got a job, it was taken away, then in June it was given
back. She was to start work on July 29. but still no house, then
about July 25th the Lord provided a house to buy. She had lived
in Fort Simpson in a furnished apartment so she had no furniture except
a dinning room set. A house but no furniture, again the Lord provided.
So through many trials, Satan working against her, but the Lord overcoming,
she is here and all settled in, Praise the Lord, all to His Glory.
In May our sewer started acting up. Sometimes it would overflow in the
basement but wasn't until July we could get it dug up and fixed. It was
down 18 feet as it comes off our property then 25 or 27 feet down where
it hooks into the town sewer. Had to have a back hoe replace 16 feet of
sewer but now it works real good. We take so many things for granted until
something happens and we don't have the use of them.
Lillian had to have cataract surgery. We flew to Yellowknife July 24th,
she had the surgery on the 25th, then we flew home on the 26th. The left
eye was where the cataract was but now she can see through it without glasses.
Bob and Ruth Clark and another couple came up to visit us the weekend of
September 13 - 16. We have had lots come to visit through this summer.
It is so nice to have brothers and sisters in the Lord around for fellowship.
May our Lord's richest blessings be yours as you abound in His work.
By His Grace
