Dear Churches and Friends,
Greetings, to you in the name of our precious saviour the Lord Jesus Christ.
I pray, that the Lord is blessing you and yours in all you do. May His
abundant Grace abound in each of you and you be found faithful and obedient
to His Word.
We are very fortunate and blessed of the Lord with the Health Care System
here in the north, as the home care nurses come to the house each morning
five days a week to check on Lillian and meet any and all needs she may
have. They wash and take care of her stomach so that it does not get infected.
On the weekend, I take care of her and each evening throughout the week,
because Lillian is unable to take care of herself in this regard. Once
a week the Registered nurse does a home visit and checks her blood pressure
and various things, so Praise be to the Lord, Lillian is well cared for.
For all of these reasons, and also due to Doctors orders, when I am away,
it is necessary that Lillian stay at the Northern Lights Special Care home
where the staff take exceptionally good care of her. When I was traveling
to Creighton, Saskatchewan these last few weeks, sister Grace, Christina
and Danielle stayed at the house with Lillian and took care of her, this
alleviated Lillian having to stay at Northern Lights. There are times when
it is not possible that anyone can stay at the house with Lillian and the
last few times I traveled, she had to stay at the Northern Lights. Praise
the Lord for HIS goodness to us.
With the summer being so short and very cool this year, the Lord allowed
us to still yield a plentiful harvest in the garden. We experienced Genesis
3:18, we still had to battle weeds, thorns and thistles, just as the
Lord promised.
We have had a number of people and families visit the mission, and they
have come back a few times, but as of yet, we have not seem them on a regular
basis. We continue to pray if they be lost children of God, that they will
come to worship with us, and that the Lord will draw them to hear HIS Word,
and that we will have the opportunity to be a witness and testimony to
them.
At Creighton, Saskatchewan, we experienced a warm welcome and Paul Rainville,
a member of the mission, is amazed that God provides him and the people
there with the opportunity to be taught of the Lord and His Word. The Lord
provided excellent messages and traveling mercies, and we leave the results
with HIM.
Bob and Ruth Clarke are friends of ours previously from Fort Providence,
NWT, they are now living is Lacombe, Alberta. They came for a 5 day
visit, and the Lord gave excellent fellowship, which was a blessing to
us and a refreshing time.
The leaves have all turned and most of them have fallen off the trees,
we are amazed at how fast the fall time came and went, we do not experience
very many beautiful colors up here, it's mostly yellow. The land looks
so bare and bleak and lonely when the leaves fall. But, Praise the Lord
we have the long cold winter to look forward to and then a nice warm spring
and summer.
I am unable to go and cut wood for the wood furnace now, so we had to buy
three cord of wood from a man that sells it. The price of wood has gone
up, along with everything else. We were a little disappointed with the
quality of wood, but all in all the Lord took care. We were able to split
and pile it with the help of the members of the mission.
With the regulations for home insurance, we purchased a fuel tank last
year, then we had to hire someone to install it outside the house. They
took the old tank out of the basement and placed the new tank outside on
cement blocks, and hooked it up to the furnace. They drained the fuel that
was left in the old tank and put it into the new tank. So, with the empty
space that the fuel tank left in the basement we were able to haul wood
into the house for burning this winter.
So, dear friends as you can tell its been a little busy and there never
seems to be enough time in the day to do all we would like to accomplish,
but Praise be to God, HE allows us to do that which pleases HIM and HE
more than supplies our needs. We Praise the Lord for your faithfulness
in HIS work here, and we pray that the Lord gracious and kind, will supply
and meet each and every need you have. And that more than anything you
will abound in HIS grace and that during these perilous days, we would
be found committed, dedicated and dependent and above all else faithful
to HIM and to HIS precious WORD.
By HIS grace we remain,
Wayne E. Mowris - Missionary
