July - September, 2006

Dear Churches and Friends,
Greetings to each of you in the name that is above every name, the only one that deserves Praise, Honour and Glory, the Lord Jesus Christ.
I pray this letter finds you all abounding in HIS grace and working out your salvation as is pleasing to HIM. Amen.
It has been another busy and event filled three months.
Praise the Lord Sister Lillian is feeling much better, thanking each of you for your many prayers for her. She is still in isolation in her room, because of the infection in her body, at the Northern Lights Special Care home. Lord willing she will soon be free and clear from her Doctor to resume normal visitation with the other residents. She is still quite weak in her arms and legs, but is able to comprehend more and her mind is much clearer and her spirit much brighter, due to taking her off some of the medications that seemed to affect her in this way. They (hospital administration) did not inform us of the cost for Lillian to live at the Northern Lights until three months after she had already been there, consequently we were not able to pay the three month bill all at once, but we have been working at paying it off completely.
The Bible Studies are going very well, we are busy each night of the week, except for Saturday evening. As a result those attending are growing spiritually in the Lord. Praise the Lord for HIS goodness.
We had an incredibly busy summer and fall. With the Mission property in need of upgrading and repair we painted the fences and porches and replaced the boards on one of the porches; due to rotten boards. The Lord was good and gave us help to complete these major projects, HE also supplied nice warm weather, so the paint could dry.
Praise to the Lord, the mortgage on the Mission house has been paid the early part of the summer. We are so thankful for the Lord watching and protecting us.
Our garden once again yielded a bountiful harvest, all credit going to the Lord of the harvest. We had to do a lot of watering due to not much rainfall.
We have been very privileged to be of help to the poor on a number of occasions due to tragic circumstances. The Lord had provided the funds so that we were able to do this.
The liner in our wood stove chimney needed to be replaced and we were able to do this project ourselves with the help of Sister Christina. The girls from the McAdam family have been a tremendous blessing helping at the Mission with chores and various jobs that need to be done.
Not that I am getting old or anything .... but my ivories seem to wearing out, so now I have some extra things in my mouth, They say this is better, but not as good as your own teeth. The Lord makes them much more sturdy.
The Lord blessed us in having two baptisms this summer. We have two new members of the Mission family and church; Brother Lawrence Vermillion, from Fort Chipewyan, Alberta. His family was the first that we held Bible studies with, back in 1981 when they were living at Peace Point, Alberta. We have remained in contact throughout the years, but in the last two years, the Lord has been working with him. As a result he has come to repentance and faith through the blood of the Lord Jesus Christ. The other individual that was baptized was Brother Norman Starr of Fort Smith. Brother Norman began attending the Mission in 2004, off and on. Then a year ago, he became very faithful in attendance, and requested Bible studies. Soon he professed faith in the blood of the Lord Jesus Christ, and requested to be baptized. Therefore on September 9, 2006 they were baptized at Pine Lake with the members of the Mission witnessing two saints of the Lord being obedient in the waters of baptism. Praise the Lord for HIS goodness to us. Both of these men are Cree native indians.
Towards the end of September I was away for two weeks on a preaching and teaching tour. We went to Alberta, Saskatchewan and Winnipeg. The blessings that a missionary has of giving forth the precious Word of God.
We are so grateful for your prayers and support for Lillian, and especially for the work that the Lord is doing in this area of the country.
We would like to thank you for your faithfulness and the people here are also very appreciative of each of you.
May the Lord rich in mercy and blessings, to HIS people, continue to work in your lives, and may you remain close to HIM through HIS Word, that HE may speak to your hearts and teach you in the full counsel of HIS Word. Amen.
    By His Grace,
    Wayne E. Mowris - Missionary
