Dear
Churches and Friends,
Greetings to you in the Name of our Saviour The Lord Jesus Christ. Praise
the Lord for the privilege of coming to you through the written word. May
His Grace be abounding in you and yours.
We have begun gathering for a fellowship meal for
the members and ones attending the Mission on the first Saturday of each
month. We had been having pizza until last Saturday, and then we had a
pot luck supper, which turned out great. We have some very good cooks,
WOW! Praise the Lord!
On Thanksgiving all gathered together at the Mission
which was October 14 here in Canada. Each family brought a dish, some brought
more, and we cooked the turkey here at the Mission. The meal once again
turned out wonderful. Getting together for fellowship is such a tremendous
blessing.
I traveled to Creighton, Sask. for services November
8-10, all three members attended all services accept Paul Rainville. He
had to see the Doctor on Saturday morning. Others were invited, but were
not able to attend at this time. The members of the Mission are so very
appreciative to have these services and fellowship.
We finally got the front steps to the porch built,
the Lord provided a carpenter who was very diligent is his work. Praise
the Lord for once again meeting our need. Tanya painted the hallway and
bathroom these areas have been in need of attention for a very long time.
Later, the hot water tank started leaking so it had to be replaced. Again,
the Lord provided a plumber to install it. The breaks on the truck went
out; the master cylinder had to be replaced.
Lillian's been house bound for so long and missing
the children (grand & great grand) that we asked the Lord for permission
for her to visit them for a while. Also Tanya's daughter Tina had to have
surgery and wanted her mother to come and take care of her four children.
Lillian had to go by plane because she can't ride in the car for any length
of time; it was hard on her just going to Edmonton to catch her flight.
Lillian left on December 12, 2002 at 10:05 AM arrived
in Hamilton, Ontario at 3:35 PM Our daughter Debra and her husband Lee
picked her up there. Lillian was so weary by the time they reached Titusville,
Pa. Tanya drove along with us in her own vehicle as far as Edmonton and
then onto Saskatchewan to her daughter Tina's. While Lillian and I were
at the motel close to the airport, Bob and Ruth Clark drove up from Ponoka
and had supper with us. They have always been such a blessing ever since
we held services in Fort Providence in 1983.
The Bible studies are going great; the Lord's children
are growing and abounding in Him. Two families that have lost interest
in the Bible studies. The Word brings too much conviction so they discontinued
having me come.
I
had pains by my gall bladder on November 30; they let up after 12 hours.
The next day I preached the morning service. After the service was over,
the people noticed I was turning yellow around my eyes and my face, they
felt impressed of the Lord to take me to the clinic. I was feeling tired,
but other than that I was feeling fine. The doctor wanted to find out the
cause of the pain and why I was jaundiced. The doctor then admitted me
to run tests. The next morning (Monday) they did an ultra-sound, they found
I had gall stones, so the doctor discharged me from the hospital and said
I was okay for me to go home. Lillian was not impressed, she said I was
sick. I was not feeling well at all the Saturday before, but when the doctor
let me go home I was feeling much better. I was and am feeling very good,
Praise the Lord for his healing touch.
Your many kindnesses; prayers, concern and interest
have been a tremendous blessing to the Lord's work here in Fort Smith.
May this New Year be enriched with his love, grace, strength, mercies and
awesome blessings on each of you and your families.
May the Lord rich in mercy, compassion and love meet
each and every need of you and yours.
By his Grace,
Wayne E. Mowris
