Dear Churches and
Friends,
Greetings to each of you in the name of our Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ.
May his love and grace abound in each of you, causing you to prosper in
His Word being profitable servants unto His honour and glory.
In October I traveled for services to Creighton, Sask. We taught and preached
on the Word for three days. During one of the teaching sessions the question
was asked, concerning the muslims, the koran, and ali. They were confused
about what has been in the media and on the religious scene so I pointed
out, the truth of these things in the Word of God. By which they realized
that religion is not dependable, nor the media in the propaganda we are
being bombarded with.
Paul Rainville and Mr. & Mrs. Brooks attended the services and the
Lord was gracious in the Bible studies, and the services. Praise ye the
Lord.
I was gone a total of three weeks, used this opportunity to replenish groceries
and kitchen supplies. I was amazed at the increase of the prices, not only
of grocery items, but motels (by which I used to be able to stay for $35.00
per night), but now it is twice the price, plus more than it used to be.
Also the gasoline is getting very unreasonable, which the governments are
allowing to be so, which is another form of them controlling the people.
Our daughter Jane, arrived September 24, 2004 and visited her mother and
I for approximately one month. During this time, Lillian fell out of bed
while I was gone and Jane couldn't help her up. They called the ambulance
and they were able to get her up. About a week later, her left foot started
give her a lot of pain and she got to the place where she couldn't walk
on it. Jane called the Doctor and he told tier to bring her right down,
in order to get her there the ambulance had to be called. This is what
we have to do when she is to go anywhere. Her legs do not support her,
to go up and down the steps, so for this reason, we need extra help. The
Doctor examined her and found that there was nothing broken but the tendons
were sprained, which the Doctor said was as bad as if the foot had been
broken, therefore, he admitted her to the hospital. As it was getting late
in the fall and the weather was turning bad, Jane decided she would leave
for Ohio, because the roads would get too bad.
We are having exceptionally good Bible Studies at the Mission and also
in the homes. The Lord is so gracious to us that we have His Word with
which to teach and admonish the people.
The Lord has been wonderful to us in meeting our each need here. The Lord
has provided the members of the mission to be exceptionally faithful in
preparing meals, laundry, shoveling snow, and house cleaning. The Lord
has burdened their hearts to be useful in this way, of which we give the
Lord ALL the Praise and Glory. Amen!
We have been keeping busy with these various things; we had the oil furnace
cleaned and serviced, the potatoes and carrots in the garden were dug up
and put away for winter, the Mission purchased a snow blower. With winter
being upon us, the temperatures have only gotten down to minus 35 thus
far. We have more snow now, but in the beginning of winter we did not receive
very much at all.
We praise the Lord for you. Your many kindnesses to us are so appreciated,
we thank you for your thoughtfulness in praying, writing, sending cards
and supporting the Lord's work here in so many meaningful and heartfelt
ways May His grace abound in your lives, being useful in the vineyard He
has you to serve. May His richest of blessings rest upon each one of you
and yours.
Our Love in Christ Jesus,
Wayne E. Mowris - Missionary
