Pastor Jim Duke
"For of him, and through him, and to him, are all things: to whom be glory for ever. Amen." Romans 1:36

“Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name”  Psalm 100:4.

When we consider the manifold blessings that have been ours this past year, we realize more fully how much we have to be thankful for.  It is a privilege to be able to serve the Lord in Australia, and we are grateful to Him for the many prayers that are offered on our behalf, and for the many expressions of love and kindness that we have received from the Lord’s people.  May the Lord give us grace, renewed devotion, and dedication to serve Him more fervently in the coming year.

It was a blessed and enjoyable time to see the brethren again in Papua New Guinea at the Bible Conference hosted by the Lord’s church in Port Moresby.  The fellowship of saints and the preaching of God’s Word served to strengthen and refresh us in the service of Christ.  There were 10 preachers and pastors who attended along with Pastor Norman and myself.  Most of these preachers were from the Highlands.  It was a special blessing to fellowship with them and many other brothers and sisters in the Lord whom I have not seen in many years.

My joy was increased to see how the Lord is also blessing the church in Port Moresby.  They have had several new members added to them and are faithfully serving the Lord in the absence of a missionary presence.  Brother Norman continues to minister to the church and has a great burden to help the pastors in the Highlands as well as to continue to preach at the Sogeri mission point.  Your prayers for him, the church in Port Moresby, and the pastors and churches in the Highlands is much appreciated.

Here in Australia the church in Cobbitty is also doing well.  We are thankful for their faithfulness and their desire to see the Lord’s work continue to go forward.

I received an inquiry this past month from a man in Hobart, Tasmania inquiring if I knew of a missionary pastor that could help their church for a time.  May it please the Lord to raise up more laborers unto His harvest!

Sister Chat Madeira continues to recover well from her recent cancer surgery to her face.  Her wounds and skin grafts are healing very well.  Thanks again for your prayers for her.

Once again we appreciate your continued prayers, love, encouragement, and support for the Lord’s work in Australia and Papua New Guinea.

    Love in Christ,
    Brother Frank James
