Cyd and I enjoyed a safe and uneventful travel back to Australia, for which we thank the Lord. It is good to be back in our own home.
Before leaving the USA, it was a blessing to be able to be in attendance at our youngest son’s wedding and to have the privilege to officiate the ceremony. We pray that God’s blessings will continue to abide on Stephen and Katie as they walk in life together.
It was also a blessing and privilege to have the opportunity to visit with the West Milton Baptist Church in West Milton OH, and Pastor Chris Horn; and with the Sovereign Grace Baptist Church in Galena, OH while in Ohio. Our sincere thanks for the hospitality and kindness manifested toward us from these churches.
After much prayer and seeking the Lord’s will, I have become more burdened about Western Australia and doing mission work there. It has been on my heart since 2009. This decision has been a difficult one though as we have great affection for the brethren here in the church at Cobbitty, and our moving will leave them without a minister.
The church here has graciously agreed to continue as our sponsors with regards to visa requirements. As our temporary visas are due to expire in December, I plan to begin work on their renewal soon. We ask for your prayers for the church in Cobbitty, that the Lord will be pleased to raise up a faithful brother to be their minister.
We plan to start a “moving fund” in changing locations. As far as I can tell there is not a service in Australia like U-Haul. I still need to do research but think that I have to contact a “removalist” (moving company) and see what options they have. At this point, I cannot say when we will move, and we wait upon the Lord and His timeframe for all things.
