"For of him,
and through him, and to him, are all things: to whom be glory for ever.
Amen." Romans 1:36
Greetings from Port Moresby in the precious name of the Lord Jesus Christ.
We pray that all is well with each of you.
Brother Norman Malu and I were able to travel to the Highlands this past
month and the Lord blessed with a safe trip. After our flight to
Tari, the vehicle we hired was not able to take us all the way to our destination
due to flooding on the road. However, we were able to walk the remaining
distance. Some of the church supplies that we had brought didn't
get put on the airplane with us either, but they did arrive later.
The churches in the Pori region of the Southern Highlands were able to
gather and we had special services for several days. We enjoyed a
good time of worship and fellowship and it was a blessing to see the brethren
The packing of our household items and mission work supplies is going well
and nearing completion. I am starting to construct a crate, which
will hold the boxes. It will travel via a shipping container to Singapore
as soon as all the arrangements are made. I have also been helping
the church in Port Moresby build a storage shed before I leave.
I have been hindered from further progress on the immigration work to Singapore
due to faults with our telephone lines in the country. The phone
line to our apartment has been out of service for most of the month of
April. The rare times that I have been able to get a dial tone, the
line has been so full of static that it has been impossible to connect
to the Internet. The telephone company here is aware of the problem,
but I continue to wait for service. I have come to the conclusion
that it will probably be necessary to go on to Singapore and proceed with
the immigration work from there.
Cyd had a safe trip back to the USA. We were thankful that our friend
Leslee Blevins traveled over to Brisbane, Australia to meet up and travel
back with her. Her doctorís appointment is the first week of May.
Thank you for your continued love, prayers, encouragement, and support
for the Lordís work in PNG.
Love in Christ,
Frank R. James
