"For of him, and through him, and to him, are all things: to whom be glory for ever. Amen." (Romans 1:36)

NOVEMBER 2002
Dear Brethren:

"Then I told them of the hand of my God which was good upon me; as also the king’s words that he had spoken unto me. And they said, Let us rise up and build. So they strengthened their hands for this good work." (Nehemiah 2:18).
Greetings once again from Port Moresby in the wonderful name of the Lord Jesus Christ.
The month of November has been a busy one and has quickly sped by. We are happy to report of the goodness of God towards us as we continue with the work that He has given. Our worship services continue to go well at the Boy Scout Hall where we presently meet. We were blessed to have a few first time visitors this month and are thankful for the visitors who attend regularly. Some of the visitors come for ulterior reasons such as asking for money, but we still consider it a blessing to have them in attendance and pray that the Lord might be pleased to save their soul through the preaching of His Word. For the last couple of months I have been teaching on the doctrine of the church and the ministry. This is in order to remind us all of the significance and importance of what we are about to observe in the ordination of Brother Norman and the organization of the mission.
It was necessary this month to discipline one of the ladies of the mission for walking disorderly and for nonattendance. This is never something we enjoy doing, but know that it is required in obedience to God's Word.
Several of the pastors from the churches in the highlands arrived here in Port Moresby in order to be present for the upcoming special services. Since travel is almost always unpredictable in the highlands, these brethren left their villages early allowing time to address any difficulties that might arise. By God's grace, they were all able to come to Port Moresby without any major difficulties. We are hopeful that others from the highlands might be able to make the trip also.
Since the work on the parsonage and separate bathroom building on the new property are nearing completion, we expect to be able to conduct our worship services there within the early part of December. In addition to the ongoing construction work on the property, the mission is preparing for the special services that will be held on December 21st and 22nd, the Lord willing. The members remain extremely thankful that the Lord has not only been pleased to establish a sound New Testament Baptist Church here in Port Moresby, but that He has also provided a property to assist in His work and to establish a visible witness to the city.
Thank you for your continued love, prayers, encouragement, and support. May God bless you all for your labor of love for His name's sake.

    Love in Christ,
    Brother Frank James
